Radiation Monitoring and Emergency Response System of the Murmansk Region

Murmansk Region Administration received a €5.1 million Grant from NDEP for the enhancement of the radiation monitoring and emergency response system in the region. The grant agreement was signed in August 2005 and the work assigned was completed on time and within budget.

Following the IAEA's review of the project in December 2007, the Murmansk Government proposed to extend the scope of the project by additional training of the personnel and to take into account recommendations of the Vienna Agency. This task was completed in 2008.
